The SmartSwipe is a tool for safe online shopping. As such we are constantly going to different sites and looking at their structure and how their checkout process works. We have looked at literally thousands of shopping sites. Some are extremely well put together, easy to follow and give you an overall feeling of "I can't believe how easy that was - who needs a real store?" Others, not so much.
Some stores leave you in disbelief, some make you laugh and others make you want to buy things you didn't know existed. It is the greatest mall on earth. Whether you live in New York or Perth or Dilke, Saskatchewan you can buy whatever you want, whenever you want. Isn't freedom wonderful?
Or is the whole thing just an opportunity for corporations to turn us into better consumers? How about we forget this question for a little while and share our favorite shopping sites. It can be sites that are easy to navigate, have great deals, have rare items or that are just fun.
My personal favorite (and I challenge you to find a better one) is http://www.kittywigs.com/. This site makes me laugh every time. Some that have done a great job of infrastructure are ralphlauren.com, gilchristsoames.com, homedepot.com, and Cooking.com. There are lots of sites that need improvements in our opinion, but we'll leave those for now.
So what are some of your favorites? Greg I'm sure you have a long list...

- futureshop.ca/bestbuy.ca are both tremendously useful - I love how those sites integrate product reviews and comparisons.
- dell.ca is incredibly easy to navigate and I think that their customization utility is the best I have ever found. I also think that Dell's Twitter campaign is a perfect model for how tech companies can use that
wonderfuladdictive service.- phonographique.com is an incredible source for hip hop on vinyl. Huge respect is due to Soso - the man has done some incredible things for hip hop in Saskatchewan.
- And finally, I would have a lot more money if not for amazon.ca. They feed my book addiction in style and I have always had great experiences with their customer service department.
