Shop, Swipe and Smile. With SmartSwipe it is that easy.

When you swipe your credit card, the SmartSwipe device protects the sensitive information that is stored within your credit card.

This information includes:

  • Credit Card Number
  • Cardholder's Name
  • Expiry Information
  • Credit Card Identification Number (CVC/CVV)

To complete a transaction, you have to make sure that each piece of information is placed in the correct box on the payment page.  Consider this analogy - as you swipe your card, the credit card reader takes each chunk of information and protects it.  Then, you have to take each chunk of information and put it in the correct box.  What do you think would happen if you tried to put your credit card number in box that is meant for your expiry month?

SmartSwipe makes this whole process easy, thanks to processes - Regular Safecheckout and Customized Safecheckout.

Regular Safecheckout starts when a payment page is already in our database of sites.  SmartSwipe automatically knows where to put your credit card information, so you will notice that the credit card boxes have protected icons in them (as in Figure 1).

Customized Safecheckout starts when a payment page is not in our database of sites.  SmartSwipe needs your help to identify the appropriate boxes for your credit card information.  It does this through the dialogue box (shown in Figure 2).  Customized Safecheckout is automated, so many of the boxes will be identified automatically.
