After you swipe your credit card, the SmartSwipe software takes the information from your credit card and places it in the correct boxes on the payment page. Â It might be easiest to understand what happens if you picture it like this. Â There are pieces of information on your credit card. Â These pieces of information include things like your credit card number, your name, and your expiry information. Â When you shop online, payment pages have boxes for this same information. Â For example, there is a box for credit card number, a box for your credit card's expiry information, and a box for your name. Â When you use SmartSwipe, you have to make sure that the pieces of information are placed in the correct boxes. SmartSwipe works with a database - when a payment page is in our database, the software already know exactly what information should go in what boxes. Â The database essentially maps a payment page and shows SmartSwipe exactly where to enter information. Â We call this process Regular Safecheckout. If a payment page is not in our database, you can use a process called Customized Safecheckout. Â Customized Safecheckout has a bit of automation built into it, so it will automatically classify most fields. Â However, SmartSwipe will ask you for help if it is not completely sure what kind of information should go in a box. Â |
